Please note that check-in is available anytime after 3pm. If you arrive prior to this time, kindly understand that access to the property will not be possible. To obtain the key for your cottage, please locate the wall-mounted lock box. The code to open the lock box will be the last four digits of the mobile number you provided during the booking process. When using the key, please ensure that it is inserted and removed horizontally.
We will provide bed linen, towels  and all kitchen essentials. We’ll leave you some small food/drink essentials along with a car park pass which will allow you to park on Mwnt car park without needing to pay the £4 every-time you visit. If you are a national trust member this will already be free for you.
The best way to get down to the beach is by driving down the lane or walking. You can only walk down the lane, there is no other footpath.
When you go out, please keep the properties key inside the lock box. There may be livestock occasionally grazing the land along with an electric fence so please be careful. Some of the sheep/cattle are quite friendly and may approach you.
There are cattle grids throughout the premises, please do not cross these, always use the gates or grass verges. On the main entrance there is a small gate on the right hand side so you don’t have to walk over the grid.
We are currently engaged in the development of the neighbouring properties, gradually converting them into additional holiday lets. Please rest assured that we will ensure a quiet and undisturbed stay for you. However, due to ongoing construction work and insurance regulations, we kindly request that you refrain from entering the other properties by going through the gates or crossing the rope barrier. If you need to communicate with us, please feel free to contact us via phone, text, email, or Facebook message. We will always make it a priority to respond to you promptly.
We kindly request that you dispose of all waste into the kitchen bin. Full bags can be placed in the blue wheelie bin located on the driveway. It’s important to note that we have made arrangements for recycling, and therefore, all waste will be separated and recycled at the plant as part of our commitment to environmentally responsible practices. You do not have to worry about separating the recycling yourself.
We run off a septic tank system at the cottages so please do not use any chemicals in the toilet or sinks. Please do not put anything down the toilet other than toilet paper as this can lead to blockages.

Appliances & Electronics

The cooker will need to be turned on at the wall and then click the middle selector button to allow it to work.
The dishwasher is next to the fridge/freezer, all the controls are on the top of the door and you’ll find the dishwasher tablets in the cupboard under the sink. Please try to use the dishwasher rather than washing by hand.
The wall mounted electric heaters throughout the property are controlled via the menu on the right hand side. They are very simple to control, if you turn them on at the wall you only need to set your temperature if different to what it’s already set at. Please do not set anything on top of these radiators as they will mark.
The electric shower works as normal and will need to be turned on by the pull cord outside the bathroom door, the shower will light up to show you it’s on.
The remaining hot water (for sinks/bath) is heated via an immersion heater, this is left on 24/7.
The smart TV is already switched on at the wall and just needs to be powered on by pressing the power button on the remote. You’ll have live TV along with the ability to watch catch up, Netflix and other applications. You will need to log in to your own account to use most of these applications.

Hot Tub

The Hot Tub will be powered up and warming for when you arrive. It may not be up to temperature as soon as you arrive, we empty and clean the hot tub between each booking and it can sometimes take a little longer.
When using the Hot Tub, please remove the cover and place it carefully to the side on the rubber mat. If it is just the two of you using it, we’d recommend just lifting half the cover off, this helps keep the heat in! The control panel is very simple, up and down for temperature, a jet button ( 2 settings) and a light button.
The optimal temperature for the Hot Tub is 37 degrees.
Please observe the following rules:
  • Please make sure to shower before and after entering the hot tub. This ensures the water quality and rinses off any chemicals from your skin after you’ve been in
  • Enter and exit the hot tub slowly
  • No jumping in the hot tub
  • Please do not consume alcohol or medication while using the hot tub
  • Do not bring glass in or near the hot tub
  • Pregnant and elderly persons must consult a doctor before use
  • Anyone with heart disease, diabetes, high or low blood pressure or any other illness should consult with a doctor before using the hot tub
  • It’s advised to limit your soak to a maximum of 30 minutes
  • Please turn off the jets and light after use
  • Never introduce any soaps or oils into the hot tub
  • Please replace the cover after each use and keep all straps clipped in, the wind can get strong and could blow the cover off causing damage
  • Do not walk, sit or lie down on the cover
We will check the hot tub in the morning between 7-9am everyday to make sure the water is correct, we won’t disturb you while doing this.

Dogs

Dogs can be walked in the field behind The Lookout Cottage and either side of the driveway. The key rules for dogs are as follows:

  • No dogs to be left in the cottage alone.
  • Dogs must be kept on leads & Dog waste properly disposed of (Blue wheelie bin on drive). If your dog is well-trained and demonstrates reliable recall, you may choose to allow them off the leash at your discretion.
