We took ownership of Ffynnongrog in late 2020 and are excited to transform it into a remarkable holiday resort that caters to various accommodation preferences, from camping and caravanning to our comfortable self-contained holiday cottages. We are currently in the process of renovating two barn conversions, expected to be ready by the end of this year.
Situated in an unparalleled location, Ffynnongrog offers breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, Mwnt hill, and the picturesque white-washed church. The award-winning Mwnt beach is easily accessible, and the coastal path is just a short walk away.
Next to Ffynnongrog is “The Shed,” a brilliantly converted barn that hosts various events throughout the year. There may be opportunities to enjoy drinks and music during your stay!
Mwnt
Mwnt itself is a remarkable spot, boasting crystal-clear waters, a sheltered sandy beach, and abundant marine life. It is renowned for dolphin, seal, and whale sightings. You’ll find a convenient kiosk at the beach offering a wide range of supplies.
It’s a great starting point to embark on the coastal path and explore destinations like Gwbert or Aberporth.
Cardigan
A short 10-minute drive, Cardigan is a vibrant town with charming shops, as well as supermarkets like Tesco and Aldi for your grocery needs. Take a leisurely stroll along the river or visit Cardigan Castle. The local market is open throughout the week, and you’ll discover delightful takeaway options, excellent fish and chips, and a variety of amazing restaurants. The Copper Pot, Pizza Tipi and the newly opened Yr Hen Printworks come highly recommended.
West Wales
West Wales, as a whole, is a captivating region, boasting stunning landscapes, quaint towns, and peaceful villages. Located conveniently, Ffynnongrog allows easy access to various destinations. Nearby, you’ll find more beautiful beaches such as Poppit Sands, Aberporth, Llangrannog, and Tresaith. Fishguard, a charming coastal town, is approximately 45 minutes away, and we suggest taking a walk up to the fort for stunning views. Further south, you can explore St Davids, or head north to discover Newquay, Aberaeron, and other captivating locations. Inland, you’ll find Newcastle Emlyn, not far from the enchanting Cenarth Falls.
