Thanks so much for visiting our website – we’re really glad you’re here!
We’re the relatively new owners of this special spot in Mwnt, having taken over Ffynnongrog in late 2020. Since then, it’s been a busy few years of renovating, planning, and building. We’re excited to now offer two self-catering holiday cottages, including our newly completed barn conversion. We’ve also prepared a number of grass pitches for motorhomes and caravans.
Our goal is to transform Ffynnongrog into a relaxed, welcoming family friendly holiday destination with a mix of accommodation options – from camping and caravanning to uniquely designed holiday cottages.
The Location
Ffynnongrog is in a truly stunning spot. From the property, you’ll enjoy wide-reaching views across the sea, Mwnt hill, and the iconic white-washed church. Mwnt Beach, an award-winning gem known for its calm waters and golden sand, is just a short walk away. You’ll also be moments from the coastal path – perfect for exploring on foot in either direction.
Next door is The Shed, a beautifully converted barn that hosts events throughout the year. You might even catch some live music or a drink night during your stay.
Discover Mwnt
Mwnt is a magical place, with its peaceful cove, crystal-clear water, and frequent dolphin, seal, and even whale sightings. There’s a small seasonal kiosk by the beach offering snacks, drinks, and beach supplies – ideal for a sunny day on the sand and easily some of the best coffee and toasties aorund! The coastal path here offers breathtaking walks, with routes to Gwbert, Aberporth, and beyond.
Visit Cardigan
Just a 10-minute drive away, Cardigan is our local market town. It’s full of character, with independent shops, supermarkets (including Tesco and Aldi), a castle, and a scenic riverside walk. Foodies will love it here – whether you’re after a quick bite or a proper sit-down meal, Cardigan has you covered. From top-notch fish and chips to some brilliant local restaurants like The Copper Pot, Pizza Tipi, and our personal favourite, Yr Hen Printworks.

Explore West Wales
From Ffynnongrog, you’re perfectly placed to explore the best of West Wales. Spend the day at beaches like Poppit Sands, Aberporth, Llangrannog, or Tresaith. Head inland to discover Newcastle Emlyn and Cenarth Falls, or further afield to Fishguard, St Davids, New Quay, and Aberaeron – each with their own charm and character.
We hope this gives you a taste of what makes this part of Wales so special. Whether you’re here for the coast, the wildlife, or simply to unwind, we think you’ll fall in love with the area just like we did.
